Glenn W. Phillips, 67, of Bellaire, Ohio, died Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born May 29, 1950 in Bellaire, Ohio, son of the late Nyle Phillips and Louis Ewing Phillips.
Spending many years and miles on the road, Glenn was a truck driver for HLC. Glen enjoyed cooking and especially enjoyed having gatherings with family and friends for pig roasts. His call of duty was serving on the Spirit of ’76 Fire Department from 1976 until 2001, when he retired as Assistant Chief.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Keli Phillips; brother, Roger Phillips; and great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Darrah.
Glenn will be loving remembered and sadly missed by his wife, Dorothy “Jane” Phillips of Bellaire, Ohio; daughter, Melissa Weas of Bellaire, Ohio; sons, Duane Kesterson of Bridgeport, Ohio, Glenn M. (Amanda) Phillips of Bethesda, Ohio; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Tracy (Charles) Lucas, Debbie Phillips, Tina Phillips; and brother, Robin (Cindy) Phillips.
Honoring Glenn’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private service and interment will be held at a later date, at the convenience of Glenn’s family.
The family has entrusted Glenn’s care with Belmont County Cremation Service, provided through Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, Bethesda.
